It is an honor to inform that the American College of Pathology has granted this service, the international accreditation. In Colombia, up to date, two clinical laboratories have CAP accreditation and the Pathology Laboratory at Centro Medico Imbanaco is the only one accredited by this organization.
This accreditation began in 2004 with the Clinical Laboratory, in 2018 was also received for the Pathology Laboratory, which began its operation in October 2016 led by Dr. Isabella Caicedo Ortiz.
The CAP (College of American Pathologist) is one of the most demanding international assessment systems. This accreditation is mandatory in the United States and its importance lies in the fact that it ensures the highest level of care and quality in procedures in this type of laboratory.
